RealNetworks releases security update

Real Networks has released an update for RealOne Player, RealPlayer and Helix Player to fix a flaw that could let attackers corrupt the player or download viruses.

Real Networks have released an update for its RealOne Player, RealPlayer and Helix Player, which they say overcomes a major security issue. The updates follow the discovery of a critical flaw that meant an attacker could create a Real Media file that would corrupt the media player when run from a local drive, and possibly use the player to download viruses to a user's machine. So you'd better update your players then.
