Still pretty buzzy Reverend And The Makers will open the all new Sheffield Academy next April. As previously reported, the Academy Group are reopening the former Roxy nightclub in Sheffield as an Academy gig venue. Confirming that the local band will open the new space on 11 Apr, Matt Wooliscroft of SJM, one of the shareholders in the Academy Group, told reporters: "Sheffield is a great City, with not only a fantastic musical history but also a thriving and exciting current scene and the new Academy venue is a great addition to that. It's fantastic news that Reverend And The Makers, being such a high profile act, will launch Carling Academy Sheffield in April for a Yorkshire home-coming".
