An album of tracks recorded by funk legend Rick James before his death last summer is to be released this summer via Sanctuary. The long player, entitled 'Rick James Forever' has not had its tracklisting confirmed, but Billboard reports that the collection will feature a collaboration with the singer's daughter Ty. There is also talk of a tribute concert taking place to coincide with the release of the album, but no confirmation as yet.
As previously reported, James died in Aug last year aged 56. It is thought that the nine different drugs in his system - which included methamphetamine, cocaine, Vicodin and Xanax - probably contributed to the heart attack that was the cause of his death.
