Rock dominated US airways in 2002

Nickelback's How You Remind Me was the most played track on US radio in 2002, with rock dominating the year-end airplay chart.

More stats – this time the US radio airplay charts for 2002, and its good news for rockers, with Roadrunner’s Nickelback claiming the most played track in US radio in 2002. In fact rock dominates the chart with Eminem, Jennifer Lopez and Justin Timberlake among the artists conspicuous by their absence. Though this probably tells you more about US radio than the music that has been big among US record buyers this year.

The top ten:

1. Nickelback - How You Remind Me

2. Puddle of Mudd - Blurry

3. Linkin Park - In the End

4. Jimmy Eat World - The Middle

5. The Calling - Wherever You Will Go

6. Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles

7. Avril Lavigne - Complicated

8. Ashanti - Foolish

9. Nelly – Dilemma

10. Nelly - Hot in Here
