Romance for Doherty

Pete Doherty has reportedly found love with singer Dot Allison, who has vowed to help him beat his addictions, according to The Sun.

Surely it's time for a Pete Doherty story? Well, this just in - Pete Doherty has apparently found love with singer Dot Allison.

Allison, probably best known for her work with Massive Attack, was with Doherty when he appeared in court last week on charges of possessing a knife. According to The Sun, Doherty now intends on moving in with her after being evicted from his flat. And Allison has said she will help Doherty to beat the drug addiction which led him to be thrown out of The Libertines.

The two singers are long-time friends, but they have only recently become romantically involved. Allison owns a music studio in East London near Doherty's home. She also sang with him on his solo tour last month.

An insider said: "Dot really cares for Peter in a big way. It's far more than just a music industry fling, it's more like an old-fashioned romance. They have been writing love poems to each other as well as phoning and texting. Dot and Pete were together constantly last month when she supported him on his solo tour.

Then she had to jet off to play with Massive Attack but she made sure she flew in to be by Pete's side when he appeared in court earlier this week. She has vowed to stand by him and try to help him beat his addictions."

Let's keep our fingers crossed Dot can help Mr Doherty sort himself out once and for all.
