Rusty Waters release date set

Rusty Waters, the first act signed to Jam Master Jay's Hot Ta Def label, will release their debut album via Virgin Records in March 2003.

The first album to be completed by an artist signed to Jam Master Jay’s Hot Ta Def label will be released via Virgin Records in March 2003. Rusty Waters were the first artists signed to the label, which Jay set up to find new music talent. The duo consists of Jay's nephew Boe Skagz and his friend MDR, and the album was recorded at Jay's studio in Queens in the weeks preceding his murder.

Police are still no closer to arresting anyone in relation to the murder. Meanwhile Jay’s family have publicly dismissed media reports that it happened as a result of a drug deal gone wrong.
