Scott Manson quits Loaded as Martin Daubney takes over as editor

Loaded has appointed Martin Daubney as editor after Scott Manson quit less than a year into the job, with IPC saying Manson is leaving for a new youth concept.

Loaded has appointed its second new editor in a year.

Ex-Ministry of Sound editor, Scott Manson who took over last year, has quit after less than a year in the job to be replaced by his deputy and former Page3.com editor, Martin Daubney.

Loaded’s last ABC showed that the magazine’s circulation had dropped for three years in succession; falling 15.2% year-on-year to 261,937.

Though Loaded is still outselling Maxim by around 10,000 copies every month, its circulation is dwarfed by the men's lifestyle market leader FHM, which enjoys a circulation of over 600,000.

IPC have said that Manson was leaving the company to work on a new youth concept that he had been working on for some time.
