Shirley Bassey criticism of Charlotte Church? Ioan Gruffudd says Britney and Paris are bad role models

Fantastic Four actor Ioan Gruffudd has criticised Britney Spears and Paris Hilton as bad role models, saying they sell their bodies and talk up their sexual exploits.

Hurrah, someone else has dissed Paris Hilton, which makes me happy. But I suppose the news is more that Ioan Gruffudd has criticised pop singer Britney Spears; this is a music newsletter, not a gossip sheet, after all.

Anyway, the Welsh actor, who stars in new movie 'The Fantastic Four' says both Britney and the Hilton are bad role models for young girls, saying they both set a bad example by showing off their bodies and talking up their sexual exploits. The actor blew his horn thus (see what I did there?): "I look at girls like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton and think, they have a responsibility to be role models to their young fans, but, instead, it's all just about sex and selling their bodies. I think it's tarty. Personally, I enjoy the elegance and mystery of a woman."
