Rumours that Newlyweds Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are on the verge of splitting have been doing the internet rounds for months, but now the pair have released a specific statement denying that they are about to divorce, in response to American magazine Us Weekly, who claim the couple are splitting on the cover of the latest issue.
Their statement read: "Nick and Jessica have not separated. Rumors to the contrary are simply not true." A spokesman for Us Weekly, however, says the mag is standing by its story. Perhaps Simpson is holding off a split until after the release of her new album next year? Go on, call me cynical.
