Snoop Dogg hits problems with Australian visa

Snoop Dogg must pass a character assessment before Australian authorities decide on his visa for an October tour after a previous ban was lifted.

Snoop Dogg will have to pass a character assessment test in order to gain an Australian visa before his planned tour of the country in October. The rapper has visited the country twice, in 1998 and 2006, without incident, but was banned from the country in April 2007 when he failed a character test, following gun and drug charges in the US, and his ongoing immigration battle in the UK. This ban was lifted last week, but the visa he applied for in July has been put on hold pending further assessment. If he is allowed in, he will have to adhere to a strict set of rules.
