So Solid speak out against minister’s claims

So Solid Crew's Romeo has hit back at Culture Minister Kim Howells, saying their music reflects real life and is no more to blame for violence than horror films.

In an interview with the Evening Standard the So Solid Crew have finally hit back at claims by Culture Minister Kim Howells that their music has helped fuel the growth of gun crime among the young black community.

"Pointing the finger at artists that are trying to let younger ones know it's possible to achieve something big in life, and put your heart and soul into it, is crazy,” the Crew’s Romeo said. “Our music reflects real-life issues and what's going on on the streets but was no more to blame for violence than horror movies on television. People have to realise everyone is an individual and take responsibility for their own actions.”
