The Spot showcase festival and music conference kicks off in Aarhus, Denmark tomorrow, with CMU’s Chris Cooke taking part in sessions on both Friday and Saturday.
Tomorrow, he kicks off a three hour strand called ‘Let’s Talk About Music And Al’ with a speed briefing summarising all of the music industry’s key interactions with artificial intelligence over the last year. He will cover challenges with licensing, the uncompromising progress of tech companies, legislation trying to keep up, and all the lawsuits that have been filed.
On Saturday it is music streaming in the spotlight. In another speed briefing, Chris will review the issues with the streaming business model that were raised in the original ‘Dissecting The Digital Dollar’ report nearly ten years ago, tackling the big question, have any of the issues been addressed yet? He’ll then join panels looking at the recent changes to steaming payments and the efforts to tackle streaming fraud.
These sessions form part of a packed Spot+ conference programme, alongside an equally packed programme of showcases taking place in venues across Aarhus.
