Stars line up for Jacko's Katrina charity record

Reports suggest Mariah Carey, James Brown, Snoop Dogg and others will join a Michael Jackson-coordinated charity record for Hurricane Katrina victims.

Reports suggest that Mariah Carey, James Brown, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Lenny Kravitz, Wyclef Jean and Missy Elliott will all participate in that previously reported project being coordinated by Michael Jackson to release a charity record to raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Katrina in the Southern States of America.

As you all surely know by now, Jackson is currently staying in Bahrain with Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, whose record label 2 Seas Records will reportedly release the charity single. A spokesman for Jackson said he was "continuing to reach out to artists who would like to work on him on this project", adding that Jacko "humbly hopes [the project] will make a tremendous difference to all individuals who have been affected by this tragedy".

The charity record, which has the dreaful working title 'From the Bottom of My Heart', is, of course, Jackson's first project since being indicted in his high profile child abuse case earlier this year.
