Stephen Gately and his new husband Andy Cowles are rumoured to be planning to adopt a child.
Mr Cowle's mother Alison said: "I would not rule out the possibility they will adopt children. They are in a strong and very positive relationship. I'm happy for both of them and if they decide they want a family that would be fine with me. Andy and Stephen are made for each other and knew they'd met the person they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with. A commitment ceremony was a natural step for them just as an engagement or marriage would be for anyone else. Stephen is really nice. When they first got together Andy would talk very fondly about him so I knew they cared for each other. If Andy is happy then I am happy for him."
The pair got ‘married’ at a commitment ceremony in Vegas last week, saying that it was a spur of the moment decision during a holiday.
