Sugababes kinda anti-war

The Sugababes deny knowledge of Blue's planned anti-war track but say they would support it, while Justin Timberlake says artists should voice their views.

More artists on the anti-war rampage. Sugababes – rumoured to be appearing on Blue's planned anti-war pop track – denied any knowledge of the project but said they would support it: "I'd defnitely be up for it," Heidi told Radio 1. "I don't think war is a nice thing. I think anyone's entitled to their opinion and to voice it, and if you get the opportunity to voice it, you know like the way Ms Dynamite did at the Brits and Coldplay did, do that. I haven't really got the confidence to be commenting on it because I don't know enough about it. What I would say is that I don't want us to go to war. I don't think war is a good thing - I think everyone should just be at peace."

Mr Justin Timberlake was much more political when asked about the war: "I think if you've got a view and you want to state it, state it. If I believed in something, yeah, obviously. I think that's the gift that we have as songwriters - to take something you visualise and maybe show people that perspective." On the war itself, he wouldn't be drawn.
