Syd Barrett's belongings to go under the hammer

Two hand-painted bikes, art and a classical guitar owned by the late Syd Barrett will be sold at a Cambridge auction house in November.

Two hand painted bikes, some art and a classical guitar all owned by the late Pink Floyd man Syd Barrett have been put up for auction. Barrett, of course, died back in July from pancreatic cancer. A Cambridge auction house called Cheffins will oversee the sale of many of his belongings - including various items of home made furniture on which a spokesman for the auction house said: "He was passionate about, although not always competent at, DIY". The auction will take place on 29 and 30 Nov.
