Police have confirmed that eighteen-year-old Ryan Munro died after being found unconscious at RockNess festival near Inverness at the weekend.

Police have confirmed that an eighteen year old man died whilst attending Rock Ness at the weekend. Ryan Munro was discovered unconscious near the event's main stage by Red Cross staff, who arranged his transfer to the Raigmore Hospital in nearby Inverness. Superintendent David O'Connor told BBC Scotland: "The youth was removed unconscious by first aiders from the front of the main stage at about 1430 BST on Saturday. He was treated at the A&E field hospital here by a consultant and taken to hospital where sadly he died. Any death in any set of circumstances is tragic and we have been extremely saddened by it. Our condolences must go out to the family of the youth involved."
