Tesco talent search

Tesco and Northwest Cherries are running a talent competition in stores from 1 July, with entries judged by a panel including Colin Larkin.

Tesco is teaming up with a company called Northwest Cherries in a quest to find fresh and exciting music talent. The scheme invites wannabe musicians to submit their music for consideration by post or online to be in with the chance of winning "career guidance that will take the Northwest Cherries music act to the top of pops" – apparently.

The competition will launch in Tesco stores nationwide on 1 Jul. Entries will be judged by a panel comprising representatives from Tesco, Northwest Cherries and the leading music expert Colin Larkin.

Finalists have the chance to win a recording studio session with an experienced producer, professional photo session, band logo, a music marketing consultant's services, a central London gig and their choice of contemporary music from Tesco.
