The Coral play gig in home town

The Coral will play a homecoming gig in a tent on New Brighton's King's Parade, supported by The Thrills and The Libertines, after US and European touring.

You might argue they've not been away from home long enough to be having a homecoming, but The Coral have announced they will play a 'homecoming gig' in a large tent on the King's Parade in sunny New Brighton on the Wirral. Support will come from fellow 'the' bands The Thrills and The Libertines. The gig follows touring in the US and Europe. Talking to Radio 1 Nick from the band seemed more enthusiastic about their US tour than their Europe dates: "I've got no desire to do Europe. I like it as a place but I've just never thought that we'd be big there. I've never dreamt of being big in Europe. So if they send us on another European tour in the middle of winter they can fuck off!"
