The Darkness make progress on new album

The Darkness have posted studio pictures online and say they have cut their potential album tracks from 39 songs to 15, recording in the same studio as 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

Work continues on The Darkness' new album, and pictures of the band hard at it in the studio have been posted at the band's official website, http://www.thedarknessrock.com. The rock band have also revealed that they have whittled down the potential album tracks from thirty nine songs down to fifteen.

Frontman Justin Hawkins said: "Studio stuff is going well. It's about the biggest drum sound you'll ever hear on a rock record and that's all there is to it at the moment. We're in the same studio that they recorded 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in, so I'm using Freddie (Mercury)'s piano and stuff."
