Stewart Copeland, former The Police drummer and part of the new line up for the The Doors, fractured his arm this weekend in a bicycle accident. As a result this week’s debut show for The Doors in Las Vegas has been pushed back to 19 Jan. Copeland was only added to the The Doors line up a few weeks ago when it was confirmed original member John Densmore was not fit enough to perform on regular basis. Original members Ray Manzerek and Robbie Krieger appear alongside new vocalist, Cult singer Ian Astbury. The band have recorded a new album due for release next year, their first album since the 1970 ‘LA Women’, the last album recorded before Jim Morrison’s death.
