The Editors on album two

The Editors expect their second album, produced by Jacknife Lee, in shops by April, with frontman Tom Smith saying it aims to compete with The Killers and Razorlight.

Talking of second albums, The Editors have said their second as yet untitled long player should be in shops by April. The good news is that it will be produced by Mr Jacknife Lee, who is a safe pair of hands if ever there was such a thing. Commenting on the album, the band's frontman, Tom Smith, has told that NME thing: "We are making the songs that will compete with your Killers and Razorlights and I don't see why we shouldn't do so. I think we've got them in our sights with this record There are four or five huge, massive sounding songs ... songs like 'Bullets' and 'Munich' were big songs and that is something we haven't shied away from."
