The Horrors cancel NME appearance

The Horrors missed a second NME Awards tour date after drummer Coffin Joe was ill, and frontman Faris Rotter was earlier hospitalised after an injury.

The Horrors were forced to cancel a second appearance on the NME Awards Indie Rock Tour, missing the gig taking place last night at Sheffield's Octagon. The band pulled out of an earlier gig in Cardiff on Saturday because drummer Coffin Joe was suffering from bronchitis. The band say they will play their next gig, tonight in Reading, but it's not clear if this is because they expect Coffin Joe to be well by then, or if they're bringing in a replacement drummer.

The band seem to be running into a fair amount of trouble on this tour; last week frontman Faris Rotter was hospitalised after gashing his leg whilst climbing a speaker stack at the Birmingham Academy gig.
