The Vines headline NME tour

NME has announced The Vines will headline its Vodafone-sponsored Term Warfare Tour, starting in Birmingham on 24 October.

NME have announced The Vines will headline its NME Term Warfare Tour, a Vodafone sponsored tour the magazine hopes will become an annual event. NME editor Conor McNicholas, on announcing the headliners, said: "Having The Vines leading this line-up guarantees we'll be tearing the roof of these venues when Term Warfare hits town. It's the hottest string of gigs this autumn and we're really proud it's NME that's made it happen. War is hell but Term Warfare will be music fan heaven." The tour kicks off on 24 Oct and visits: Birmingham Academy (24 Oct), Bristol Academy (26 Oct), Manchester Academy (28 Oct), Nottingham Rock City (30 Oct), Cambridge Corn Exchange (1 Nov), London Shepherd's Bush Empire (2 Nov). Whether IPC bosses will be so keen on the ‘warfare branding’ if we’re midway through a military attack on Iraq by October remains to be seen!
