They Might Be Giants album

They Might Be Giants have announced 'The Else', out 13 July, made with the Dust Brothers, who supplied drum loops and helped reassess songs.

They Might Be Giants have confirmed details of their new album. Entitled 'The Else', the long player is due out on 13 Jul.

Talking about the record, and about working with veteran producers the Dust Brothers, the duo's John Flansburgh told Billboard: "We came up with a couple of ways of working. We got loops from them early in the process, a huge collection of their delightful drum loops. That's how we started a bunch of the tracks. Then they came to New York and helped us re-assess stuff we'd written and demoed on our own. There's a third of the songs which they were not involved with, but we wanted to be of a piece with the rest of the record".
