Thom Yorke has admitted that he chose to pay nothing when he downloaded his band's new album 'In Rainbows' from their own website during the much hyped 'pay what you want' promotion. Though as he points out: "There wasn't any point [paying]. I'd just move some money from one pocket to the other".
He was talking to Steve Lamacq on 6Music. With him was the band's Ed O'Brien, who admitted that the band were all sworn to secrecy about the promotion before its official announcement. He said: "We had to literally tell no-one. I didn't tell my wife we were going to release it like this".
