Thom Yorke celebrates Obama victory with free download

Thom Yorke is offering a free remix of his solo track 'Harrowdown Hill' to mark Barack Obama's election victory and other events of the week.

Thom Yorke has called Barack Obama's election victory "the dawn of a new era in politics in the USA", and is offering a remix of his solo track 'Harrowdown Hill' as a free download to mark that occasion, as well as other exciting events that occurred last week - Radiohead bandmate Johnny Greenwood's birthday and bonfire night. "I humbly donate a remix of 'Harrowdown Hill' that was finished ages ago during the band webcasts, a small reminder of the dark days of Bush".

Everyone is so optimistic about this president elect, aren't they? Just like they were when Tony Blair knocked the Tories from power back in 1997. I mean, I'm not saying it's not good to be rid of Bush, and I'm not saying that Obama will disappoint. But I think it's wise to expect that he might. Especially if you're Iranian.
