The next edition of the previously reported Tourdates A&R Showcase event (the new band showcase event organised by the Tourdates.co.uk website) is taking place tonight at London's Borderline from 7pm. Once again organisers have picked out some more great new bands to play from the 1000s of unsigned bands who have registered with the service. Other bands are encouraged to bring demo CDs with them this evening and hand them in for future consideration.
On the whole thing, Tourdate's Dean G Hill told CMU: "Last month's launch event was a tremendous success and my liver still hasn't recovered. We hope to make this unique showcase an important stepping stone for new bands trying to get attention from key industry figures. Free beer and joyous music, Chrsitmas has come early."
Industry types get in free (bring a business card), while other bands can get in for half price - £2.50.
