Universal revenue down, sort of

Universal Music Group's quarterly sales fell to 1.02 billion euros, though digital sales rose 33% and licensing income increased.

Universal sales down, Napster revenues up. See, strange things do happen. The world's biggest music company, Vivendi's Universal Music Group, saw their sales drop to 1.02 billion euros in the last quarter, though before you anti-Universal types start celebrating, I think a lot of that was down to exchange rates, or something like that. Digital sales were up 33%, and that coupled with a rise in licensing income helped compensate for the latest drop in physical CD sales.
