According to The Sun, Victoria Beckham has given an interview to Spanish magazine Chic in which she claims to prefer being a housewife to being a singer, saying "All I want to do now is stay in the shadows and look after my children. I've no plans to make music. I loved my time with the Spice Girls. But that's the past." She went on: "David is one of the most handsome, elegant and desired men on this planet. I am proud of being his wife. I'd do anything to make David happy."
She also spoke about how she now enjoys life in Spain: "It's great here - the climate, the people, the restaurants. Things happen more slowly here. At first I had problems adapting to the pace of Spanish life. But now I'm grateful for it. I find it lovely. I can't think of anything I don't like about Spain."
Is it a cheap shot to say that I'm sure there are lots of people out there who would support Victoria in her decision to make the most of motherhood and stay out of the limelight? Probably. But what the hell.
