Virgin appoint former Heart drive man

Virgin Radio has hired former Heart 106.2 drive time man Greg Burns to host a Sunday afternoon show and two late night shows. Despite his seven year term at easy pop station Heart, Virgin programme boss Paul Jackson said last week that Burns is a "genuine guy who is into our kind of music". Of course if he was that genuine how did he manage to spend seven years bigging up music on Heart 106.2 which, it would seem, he didn't actually like? Or perhaps he's just got very eclectic music tastes. Yep, that'll be it. Anyway, Burns will present Sundays 1-4pm and Tuesday/Wednesday overnight.
