Quick bit of label appointment type news - and Virgin Records UK have confirmed the appointment of Lincoln Elias, formerly of SonyBMG, to the role of A&R Executive. Elias was a key A&R for former SonyBMG imprint S2, which signed the likes of Terence Trent D'arby, Des'ree, Roachford, Reef, Toploader and Jamiroquai.
Confirming the appointment Virgin Records MD Ferdy Unger-Hamilton told reporters: "Lincoln is as good as the best there is, simple as that. His track record speaks for itself. To have a guy as nice and as good with artists working alongside me at Virgin is an honour and a pleasure."
