VirtualFestivals.com and KarmaDownload let fans pick new acts for festivals

Fans can vote for 21 new acts by buying their tracks, with the top chart positions winning slots at five summer festivals.

As previously reported, VirtualFestivals.com have teamed up with KarmaDownload.com to give new acts a chance to appear at a variety of festivals - and to let fans decide just who those new acts are. And now we know how it's going to work. Tracks from 21 top new acts have been posted online which music fans can listen to and vote for by buying and downloading the track. KarmaDownload.com will compile a chart from the sales, and the bands in the top positions will get the chance to play at five summer festival dates - Guilfest, Tin Pan Alley, Bestival, Beautiful Days and Get Loaded in the Park.
