Winehouse's in-laws call for boycott of her records

Blake Fielder-Civil's parents reportedly urged people to boycott Amy Winehouse's records, while her father said that would solve nothing and that she must reach rock bottom.

Well, this is all a bit odd. The parents of Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil have reportedy suggested we all stop buying Winehouse's records in a bid to stop the couple doing all this druggy stuff (I think the logic is if people boycott the records the record company would step in - because it's that easy).

But Winehouse's own father has take a very different view, telling BBC Five Live that refusing to buy his daughter's albums would solve nothing, and that the solution is to simply wait until they reach "rock bottom" when they will apparently miraculously decide that they don't want to take drugs anymore. Because it's that easy.

Neither Winehouse nor her record company decided to comment on the statements.
