X-Press 2 on Lazy and the new album

X-Press 2 have told Undercover about their collaboration with David Byrne and say they are now working on a new album with 25 rough song ideas.

X-Press 2 have been talking to Aussie website Undercover about their collaboration with David Byrne last year. "We sent him over the backing track and he wrote and recorded his vocals at home! He did it all on his laptop and just sent it back. He burnt a CD of it, sent it back and we sat in our manager's office completely blown away with what he had done".

Xpress 2 are now working on a new album. "If people are into the David Byrne thing then they will definitely be into one of the other things we have going on. There is a songwriter that we are going to work with. He is based in the US. There are some other vocalists we are approaching and talking to at the moment. Of course, there will be the obligatory hands in the air dance floor tracks in there as well. We have about 25 new songs that we have just started. They are rough ideas at the moment but they are all sounding good. We are pretty excited about the new album. We have started on it. The 25 things are sketched out. They are just rough, little demo things".
