Xfm considering all music daytime

Xfm is reportedly considering dropping presenters between 10am and 4pm to run back-to-back music, though parent GCap calls it speculation.

This is interesting. Xfm are expected to announce another schedule revamp, and gossipers are gossiping that the alternative station will drop presenters completely between breakfast and drive time in a radical move to boost daytime listening. If those plans went ahead the station would air back to back music between 10am and 4pm. Commenting on those rumours, a spokeswoman for Xfm parent GCap told the Guardian: "It is purely speculation at the moment. No formal announcement has been made".
