Police in California have confirmed they have formally charged G-Unit member Young Buck following that stabbing incident at last week's Vibe Awards in Santa Monica.
The rapper, real name David Darnell Brown, is accused of stabbing one Jimmy James Johnson after he allegedly punched Brown's label boss Dr Dre. Brown fled the scene shortly after the incident last Monday night, with police issuing a warrant for his arrest almost immediately.
This weekend police told reporters they were negotiating with Brown regarding his surrender, with the rapper's lawyer saying his client would "surrender in the near future". The latest word is that Brown has now met with police and been officially charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder. Reports say he has been released on $500,000 bail and will appear in court on 20 Dec for arraignment.
