Mumford & Sons lead UK Festival Awards nominations

By | Published on Thursday 14 October 2010

Mumford & Sons lead the nominations at this year’s UK Festival Awards with four nods, putting them in all but one of the categories they are eligible for. As for the actual festivals, Vintage at Goodwood, which only launched this year, leads the way with three nominations.

James Drury, Managing Director of the UK Festival Awards, told CMU: “The public response to this year’s UK Festival Awards has been phenomenal. We’ve had over 300,000 votes so far, which goes to show just how much the British public cares about festivals. The Awards is about celebrating the hard work which goes into producing such an incredible array of events each year, and it certainly seems festival-goers are keen to share their appreciation in great numbers”.

The second round of public voting is now open at uk.festivalawards.com. The awards themselves take place at IndigO2 in the O2 Dome on 18 Nov.
