Music+Sound Awards presented
By Andy Malt | Published on Friday 28 February 2014
The winner’s of this year’s UK Music+Sound Awards were presented at The Troxy in London last night, recognising hard work and magnificence in the sync and ad-commission domain.
Winners included Lily Allen’s weepy cover of Keane’s ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, which soundtracked the 2013 John Lewis Christmas advert (it’s still not a thing, stop trying to make the John Lewis Christmas advert a thing), and Underworld’s previously reported ‘Play The Road’ project for Volkswagon.
The awards’ co-founder Nick Payne told CMU: “It was months in the planning and The Music+Sound Awards 2014 was truly a night to remember. The work entered this year was of a very high standard and seeing the winners rewarded for their brilliance was a phenomenal thing to be part of. We congratulate them for their outstanding achievements and for inspiring the visual media industries with their exceptional work”.
