Bee Gees no more

Barry and Robin Gibb confirm the Bee Gees will not perform together following Maurice's death, as Maurice's son Adam accepts the CBE on his late father's behalf.

Barry and Robin Gibb yesterday confirmed they have no plans to perform together as the Bee Gees following the death of brother Maurice last year. In London to be awarded the title of CBE by Prince Charles, Barry Gibb told reporters: "We are not the Bee Gees now, in respect for Mo. Maybe the time's just right for a bit of free flight. Maybe at some point we will do something together."

On being awarded a CBE he continued: "It's bittersweet. It would have been wonderful for all three of us to be here. We have mixed feelings. Knowing Mo, this would have been right up his alley. He would have still had his hat on."

As it was, Maurice's son Adam Gibb picked up the award on his late father's behalf.
