Both Jive Records and Britney's personal publicist Nicole King have confirmed those rumours that Ms Spears has got engaged to dancer boyfriend Kevin Federline. A spokesman for the BMG division told reporters last week: "I can confirm that yes, she is engaged".
Elsewhere in Britney news, rumours this weekend that Justin Timberlake is looking to rekindle his friendship with Spears by offering to write some songs for her. An 'insider' is quoted as saying that Britney - who is apparently back on speaking terms with Justin - is considering the offer because she thinks a Timberlake/Spears collaboration might excite her fanbase who are most likely a bit pissed off that her upcoming US tour has had to be cancelled following that fall on a recent video shoot.
Said insider says: "Justin is there for Britney at the moment because she has had a really tough time. She is obviously upset about having to cancel her tour. Even though her songs are doing OK, she is worried about how letting her fans down will affect her future."
