Carphone Warehouse sponsor

Carphone Warehouse will sponsor ITV's The X Factor for three years, reportedly worth around £20 million, after dropping Big Brother sponsorship.

Having dropped its sponsorship of Big Brother when the Goody-gate racism debacle reached its peak during the last series of Celeb Big Brother, Carphone Warehouse has announced it will now sponsor The X Factor, which returns for its fourth series in the Autumn. The phone firm has reportedly entered into a three-year deal worth an estimated £20 million. For their sake, I hope none of the new judges on the show turn out to be closet racists. Though, ITV are known to want to revitalise their flagship pop talent show, and a bit of xenophobia could be just the thing. In honour of former ITV prime-timer Bernard Manning perhaps.
