Dr Marten, the shoe people, not the GP, have announced a partnership with the Ibiza Rocks people that will see them getting involved in picking and championing the support bands at the White Isle's popular rock night. The first one they've picked is Pull Tiger Tail, who will play in the support slot on 16, 17 and 18 Jul supporting the likes of Kasabian and LCD Soundsystem. Other bands due to play the slot are tbc.
The Ibiza Rocks partnership is part of and promoting the shoe brand's FREEDM programme, which centres on the website http://www.FREEDM.com which is a bit like MySpace, though specifically for creative types with something to promote. Bands are being encouraged to upload their music to that site, and one of the bands that do (the best one, presumably) will win one of the FREEDM support slots at Ibiza Rocks, complete with an all expenses paid trip to the White Isle.
