Erol Alkan, DJ de rigeur and the man formerly behind the legendary London club night 'Trash' has been announced as the producer for up-and-coming Midlands' band Late Of The Pier. Speaking of the collaboration, Alkan said: "They're not only the most exciting new band out there at the moment, but they are THE most exciting band around. Great pop music tends to come from bands moving the goal posts. Late Of The Pier not only move the goal posts, they've got a dozen football pitches to choose from".
The Erol produced single, 'Bathroom Gurgle' is out on Moshi Moshi Records - the label that made early releases for Bloc Party, Hot Chip and Kate Nash - on 10 Sep.
