Richard Hawley's 'Coles Corner', Kate Bush's 'Aerial' and Gorillaz' 'Demon Days' have all been shortlisted in the South Bank Show Awards pop section, with MIA being nominated for The Times Breakthrough Award. As you may know, the awards span pretty much every aspect of UK culture, featuring twelve categories: theatre, film, dance, classical music, pop music, opera, literature, comedy, visual arts and TV drama.
The awards are transmitted on ITV1 on 29 Jan, and this year's guest presenters include James Galway, actor Jude Law, dancer Darcy Bussell, Potter-boy Daniel Radcliffe and comedian Eric Sykes.
