Ingenious invest in new Merseyside festival

London investment firm Ingenious has reportedly made its first live-sector investment, in the Knowsley Hall Music Festival run by the Cream and Creamfields team.

The London based investment firm Ingenious has reportedly entered into its first investment deal in the live music sector. As previously reported, Ingenious currently have three substantial funds at their disposal for investing in music and entertainment based projects. Two of those funds were set aside for recorded music ventures, and have more or less been committed. The third, however, is designed for live event ventures, and is only just being assigned.

According to the Daily Telegraph the first investment from that fund will be in the previously reported Knowsley Hall Music Festival, that brand new festival being staged on the Knowsley Hall estate near Liverpool by the Cream/Creamfields people.

Negotiations are ongoing for other events in which Ingenious may invest, with trade fairs, sport contests, conferences and theatrical productions among those said to be being considered by the investment firm.
