This is the annual competition for new songwriting talent - and is one of the biggies when it comes to new talent competitions, with Tom Waits, Brian Wilson, Frank Black, Peter Hook, Robert Smith and a host of top industry execs among those who will be judging the songs entered. And the overall grand prize is $25K. The deadline for entries is 16 Oct, so if you're a songwriter I'd suggest a visit to http://www.songwritingcompetition.com for details on how to enter.
