Jimi Hendrix among those added to the UK's Hall Of Fame

The Who, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and Joy Division/New Order will join the UK Music Hall Of Fame at a ceremony on 16 November.

Organisers of the UK's music Hall Of Fame have confirmed that The Who, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and Joy Division/New Order will all be honoured at this year's induction ceremony next month.

They, along with previously announced inductees Bob Dylan and John Peel, will be added to the Hall Of Fame, which was launched last year of course and already honours The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, Queen, Cliff Richard & The Shadows, The Rolling Stones, U2 and Robbie Williams.

The new additions, picked by a panel of sixty broadcasters, artists, journalists and industry executives, will be formally inducted at a ceremony at London's Alexandra Palace on 16 Nov. The ceremony will be broadcast by Channel 4 and on BBC Radio. Among the artists scheduled to perform at the event are new inductees New Order, and Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash, who will lead a supergroup style tribute to Hendrix.
