We’re looking for an experienced and well-connected Live Music Promoter to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for booking and delivering shows across the UK under the Desertscene and Old Empire banners.

Additionally, there is scope to assist with curating and booking international line-ups across the Desertfest brand of events.

This is a full-time hybrid role, with 2 days per week required in London. Core offices hours are 10am – 6pm, however due to the nature of live music you will occasionally be required to work outsides of these hours, with time off in lieu.

You should feel comfortable working autonomously but also enjoy collaborating closely with a small team who wear multiple hats within the business.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely connects with niche music scenes, the communities around it and the ethos of underground culture, as we look to grow our footprint in the live music sector.

Salary is £28-£38k DOE.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with agents on routing individual shows and full UK tours for both established and developing talent. Implementing a strategic approach to these shows based on audience data/sales, technical logistics and local scene awareness.
  • Book multi-artist bills that create synergy and community. Scouting talent early to develop bespoke tour opportunities with support slots, a mentorship type approach for emerging artists is key to our business.
  • Negotiate offers and deals with agents, managers & other key stakeholders.
  • Manage and create budgets for all shows, collaborating with Directors for budget approvals and final show settlements.
  • Work closely with internal and external ticketing, marketing, production and finance teams for seamless event execution.
  • Collaborate with company Directors to deliver and expand the number of shows and events across the Desertscene & Old Empire portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, managers, promoters and artists, actively enhancing the company presence through regular attendance at shows and industry events.
  • Provide creative input and assist head booker for Desertfest with curating and booking international festival line-ups, including handling early artist availability and issuing deal memos.

Required skills & experience:

  • Deep understanding of the live music landscape with a well-established network of music agents and artists to add to our roster of events.
  • Proven experience in negotiating and budgeting for live shows and dealing with post-show settlements is desired.
