An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Assistant to join The Ivors Academy on a 6 week fixed term contract, from Wednesday 10 April to Wednesday 29 May 2024, to support The Ivors with Amazon Music awards.
About the role
Supporting The Ivors Academy’s Awards Team with all aspects of event and project administration, in relation to The Ivors with Amazon Music awards ceremony on Thursday 23rd May 2024.
This is a temporary, freelance role reporting to the Senior Awards Manager. The role requires strong administrative and IT skills, a meticulous attention to detail and ‘can do’ attitude in response to changing demands.
Responsibilities:
- Proofing event and show materials
- Data entry relating to ticketing and event banqueting
- Booking travel and deliveries
- Supporting on the creation of event items, such as place cards, security lanyards
- Updating copy for websites and communications
- Day to day general administrative support as and when instructed
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong administration skills, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and efficiency
- Experience with Office 365 and word press
- Experience working under pressure and an interest in events
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
Remuneration and Location:
Salary: £13.15 per hour
Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm
Location: This role is a combination of remote working and office work in central London. 4 days a week in office work and 1 day a week working from home.

End Date: Wednesday 29th May 2024
